Arabelle de Saussure joins CEA as scientific assistant
Arabelle de Saussure is a research assistant at the Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture since January 2022.
Arabelle graduated in civil engineering at EPFL in 2018 and conducted her master’s thesis on geothermal energy at MIT in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
She worked two years as a civil engineer at Basler & Hofmann in Zurich on large-scale BIM infrastructure projects. She then joined EK Energiekonzepte, a company that focuses on sustainability and energy in the construction sector, where she is working as a sustainability consultant in parallel to her role at IBI.
Through these experiences, she has developed a particular interest in circular economy. In this context, she will explore how reuse processes combined with digital technologies can be further implemented in the construction industry.
The Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture (CEA) develops research on matching reused architectural materials with people and projects through digitalization for a circular built environment. For more information visit our webpage.
