Barbara

This lecture is part of a series organised by Prof. Dr. Catherine De Wolf for her fall 2024 course and the AI, Art and Architecture (AAA) Experiments, offering students and the public a diverse range of global insights on sustainable design and construction. Barbara graduated in architecture from ETH Zurich in 1979 and then worked in Africa for 17 years. In 1996, together with Klara Kläusler, she founded the first component exchange in Basel, which enables the reuse of components and materials. With Eric Honegger, she founded baubüro in situ AG in 1998 and Wegwarte AG in 2022. Her visionary constructions brought Barbara awards such as the Prix Meret Oppenheim. The lecture will take place at 17h15 at the CEA ‘Mehrwerk’ structure in Kunsthalle Zürich, Limmatstrasse 270, 8005 Zürich, and is open to the public.
